PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting diode display device and a control method thereof, capable of controlling power supply to a light-emitting diode, using a linear regulator circuit having a power transistor, and preventing excessive heat generation of the power transistor.SOLUTION: In a light-emitting diode display device 100, an output current determination part 132 calculates a junction temperature using a voltage difference between an input voltage and an output voltage of a power transistor 121, determines whether a value obtained by adding a prescribed margin to the junction temperature reaches an absolute maximum rating (an allowable upper limit value) or not, and outputs a request signal to a PWM pulse controller 133 so as to reduce a duty ratio D when the value reaches the absolute maximum rated value. Thus, an average output current of the power transistor 121 is decreased, its junction temperature is decreased, and damage of the power transistor 121 is prevented. |
