An organic EL display device 1 is provided with a sealing film 2 disposed so as to cover an organic EL element 4 on a plastic substrate 10. The organic EL display device is characterized in that: the sealing film 2 is constituted by a first sealing layer 25 provided on the surface of the plastic substrate 10, three stress relaxation layers 26, 27, 28 provided on the surface of the first sealing layer 25, and a second sealing layer 29 provided on the surface of the stress relaxation layer 26; the coefficient of thermal expansion of each of the stress relaxation layers 26, 27, 28 is larger than the coefficient of thermal expansion of the first and second sealing layers 25, 29; and the coefficient of thermal expansion of the stress relaxation layer 27 disposed between the stress relaxation layers 26, 28 is larger than the coefficient of thermal expansion of the stress relaxation layers 26, 28. |
