A glass forming device has an inlet end, a compression end and a central portion, wherein the cross-sectional thickness of at least one of the compression end and the inlet end is less than the maximum cross-sectional thickness of the central portion. At least one side of the device has a negative angle region having a height, wherein the height of the negative angle region of at least one of the compression and the inlet end is less than the maximum height of the negative angle region of the central portion. The device can enable reduced attenuation of a molten glass ribbon as well as reduced bead to sheet thickness ratios. |
