According to an embodiment of the present invention, a fingerprint matching apparatus comprises: a feature value extracting unit for extracting a feature value of target content being a matching target; a cognitive limitation measuring unit for measuring a cognitive limitation which is a maximum variation range of the unrecognizable feature value; a fingerprint generating unit for generating a distribution on the feature value varying within the cognitive limitation; and a matching unit for determining a matching degree of the target content based on a probability that a pre-stored fingerprint is included in the distribution for each of a plurality of candidate content. |
