PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tensioner capable of being easily mounted on a belt system of an endless belt, and hardly generating uneven abrasion of a tensioner bush by minimizing a moment acting on a tensioner arm.SOLUTION: A tension cup 23 is fixed to an engine block in a state that its opening portion is directed to an engine block side. A tensioner arm 31 is projected outward from the opening portion of the tensioner cup 23. The tensioner arm 31 is disposed between the engine block and the tensioner cup 23, and oscillatably supported by the tensioner cup 23. A tension pulley 21 is pivoted on an oscillation end of the tensioner arm 31. The tension pulley 21 is mounted at a side same as the tensioner cup 23 with respect to the tensioner arm 31. The tensioner cup 23 is fixed to the engine block over the tensioner arm 31 so that it does not interfere with the oscillation of the tensioner arm 31. |
