PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure safety of a person such as a patient by taking an electrocardiogram on him or her while performing pacing without imposing a burden on him or her.SOLUTION: A external pacemaker 10 includes: an electrical stimulus generating part 21 for giving electrical stimuli to cardiac muscle of a patient through electrode catheters 23a, 23b placed in body of a patient 1; a body surface electrocardiographic information measuring part 31 for measuring body surface electrocardiographic information on the patient 1 through electrodes 36a, 36b, and 36c attached to the body surface of the patient 1; and a radio transmitting part 33 for wirelessly transmitting the body surface electrocardiographic information that has been measured. The body surface electrocardiographic information measuring part 31 and the radio transmitting part 33 are provided in a housing 12 in which the electrical stimulus generating part 21 is provided. |
