A holder for selenium rectifiers comprises a strip of sheet-metal having a central part 1, Fig. 1, turned-down side walls 2, and turnedup metal tongues 3 which are cut out of central part 1. Each tongue 3 has a non-circular aperture which receives a protrusion of complementary shape on a rectifier housing, so preventing rotation of the latter. Alternatively, each tongue may have two adjacent circular holes which receive corresponding projections on the rectifier housing; or recesses may replace through holes; or the tongues may carry protrusions which enter corresponding recesses in the housing. Each rectifier, Figs. 4-6 (not shown), comprises rectifying elements in a cup-shaped plastics housing, potted with casting compound from which three terminals emerge. |
