A composition containing deacylated kayara gum solution and (a) an acid or basic slurry of microcapsules and with or without oxidized potato starch, colloidal silica, kaolin and ZnCl2, or (b) TiO2, Na2SiO4, nonyl phenoxy polyethoxy ethanol, water, azo Blue Black B and octanol, is coacervated within a wet paper web by cationic starch. Other materials instead of Kayara gum can be used, e.g. gelatin, casein, methyl cellulose, carboxy methyl cellulose, gum tragacanth, locust bean gum, buar gum, vinyl methyl ether-maleic anhydride copolymer, ethylene-maleic anhydride copolymer, and mixtures thereof. Instead of cationic starch, gum arabic, urea, polyethylenimine or alum can be used. |
