The invention relates to compounds of the general formula <FORM:1065541/C2/1> in which X represents hydrogen or halogen atoms, at least 4X representing halogen atoms. atoms, at least 4X representing halogen atoms. Compound claimed per se is 5-(21,21,31,31-tetrafluorocyclobutyl) - 1,2,3,4,7,7 - hexachloro-bicyclo [2,2,1]hept - 2 - ene and examples of the preparation are given.ALSO:Pesticidal compositions comprise as active ingredients compounds of the general formula <FORM:1065541/A5-A6/1> in which X represents hydrogen or halogen atoms and at least 4X representing halogen atoms, together with a suitable carrier. Specified active ingredient is 5-(2/sv,2/sv,3/sv,3/sv-tetra fluoro cyclobutyl) - 1,2,3,4,7,7 - hexa chloro - bicyclo [2,2,1]hept-2 ene. The composition can be applied in the form of the usual pesticidal preparations or can be used in admixture with other insecticidal, fungicidal, herbicidal or nematocidal agents or with fertilisers. |
