In a dish-washing machine of the kind in which washing and rinsing liquids are circulated successively to spray tubes by a pump having an inlet in a sump at the bottom of the washing chamber, a permanently open drain outlet 28 is provided, which ensures that the washing water, supplied initially through a pipe 21 to the chamber 15, reaches a level A only when a second drain outlet 24 is closed by a valve 25. The openings 24, 28 communicate with a common drain hose 27. The valve 25 is actuated by a hand lever having a spring-assisted snapaction. The dishes are contained in a dish rack 16 rotated by a motor 23 which also drives the pump 22. |
