Composition comprising (1) 100 pbw polypropylene having intrinsic visc. (measured in decalin at 130 degrees C) of 1 to 9 and density 0.80 to 0.92 g/cm3; and (2) 1 to 20 pbw polystyrene having av. mol. wt. 50000 to 300000, in homogeneous dispersion is suitable for mfre. of products having cross-sectional surface of 0.02 to 40 mm2 and thickness of 0.01-3 mm. Production is by extrusion of the composition followed by drawing, the extruded tape having surface temp. 20 to 150 degrees C, draw ratio being 1:4 to 1:15, pref. 1:9 to 1:12. The comp. is mfrd. by homogeneous compound of the components at 160 to 310 degrees C.
