<p>PURPOSE:To efficiently remove nitrogen in water by installing a nutrient layer filled with bark which is fermented in advance as a main nutrient for bacteria and also installing an adsorbent layer filled with an adsorbent which adsorbs ammonia-state nitrogen in series with the nutrient layer. CONSTITUTION:In a water treatment apparatus in which a cubic casing is divided into blocks by partition plates to form a precipitation tank, a denitrification tank 7, a chitosan charcoal tank, and an aeration tank arranged from the upstream side, the denitrification tank in which nitric acid-state nitrogen in water to be treated is removed is separated from a pretreatment tank by a partition plate and is composed of a nutrient layer 8 and an adsorbent layer 9 which are contacted with each other. In order to form the nutrient layer 8, high C/N ratio bark compost 8b is packed between skin layers 8s which, for example, are made of a straw mat, and the adsorbent layer 9 is filled with the adsoirbent of a pebble-shaped mineral such as zeolite and vermiculite.</p> |
