PURPOSE:To provide a water-tight agent excellent in adhesiveness, extrusion moldability, and peeling workability. CONSTITUTION:A water-tighting agent 2 consists of a mixture composed of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer containing 10wt.% or more of vinyl acetate and having a melt index of 50 or more, aromatic alcohol fatty acid ester or/and a lead compound, and a crosslinking agent. A water-tighting electric wire is obtained by filling the water-tighting agent 2 among element wires 1 of a twisted wire conductor. Consequently, it is possible to provide the water-tight agent excellent in balance between adhesiveness to metal and a peeling property from metal, to fill the water-tight agent among the element wires of the twisted wire conductor without any clearance in a state favorably adhesive to the element wires by an extruding system, and to stably provide the water-tight electric wire excellent in heat resistance with high efficiency where the water- tight agent can be easily peeled off from the element wire. |
