A vibrating screen 50 applies magnetizable developer to a latent image bearing surface 1; four electromagnets 90 being energized in turn to agitate the developer in different directions from that in which it is agitated by screen 50, so as to improve the uniformity of development. Screen 50 may be earthed or connected to a source of potential. A bucket conveyer 80 recirculates developer. |
