Nonwoven fabric prodn. Continuous parallel threads pass between crimping rollers, and are then entangled while passing over a concave surface at reduced speed. Adhesive may be applied. The concave surface may be a roller or series of rollers, alternately concave and parallel. This surface may instead be a belt conveyor running on parallel rollers, or running on a convex roller at one end and a concave roller at the other end.
