[Also in Division C3] Supports such as wood, glass, paper, metal, stone, ceramics or concrete, are coated with a lacquer resin solution and stoved (cross-linked) suitably at 80‹C to 250‹C, wherein the lacquer resin is the reaction product of a copolymer of unsaturated monomers one of which contains an epoxy group, an aliphatic hydroxycarboxylic acid, and a cyclic anhydride of a dicarboxylic acid. In the Examples, the above after-treated polymers are formed into a pigmented lacquer with aromatic hydrocarbon solvent, TiO 2 , calcium naphthenate, melamineformaldehyde in butanol, silicone oil, butanol and butyl glycolate, coated on glass or steel sheets, dried and stoved.
