Forging machine tooling set for the reduction of cross-section of workpieces inserted in the machine, comprises three jaws which are grouped round the workpiece arranged relative to each other in such a way that each front face of each jaw is in contact with one side face of one adjacent jaw as parent patent. To prevent flow of metal during forging in between the jaws, each jaw has a projection on one of its feed-in tapers, in which in the taper region runds sideways along one of the adjacent press jaws. Alternatively a similarly positioned recess may be machined in each jaw.
