Cellulose woven textiles, contg. at least 50% regenerated cellulose fibres, are treated with an aq. mixture capable of forming an amido formaldehyde resin in the presence of acid and ammonium salt of acid (pK 3) as a catalyst. The material is impregnated so that it contains 85% (based on tissue wt) of impregnant, and is left at its ambient temp. for sufficient time for a resin to form. The material is then dried. |
