Plastic bags with fold-over flap and one hand - and stiffness

Plastic carrier bags with one handle secured to one side of the bag and having the opposite side of the bag extended to fold over the shorter side (and its handle). Pref one or both rims are folded double (or treble) or have additional (thicker) strips of plastic welded thereto. Suitable handles are disclosed, pref. with a U-section for stiffness combined with short cycle injection moulding. Pref. arms extend from the base of the handle to stiffen the rim to retain a generally rectangular profile even when loaded. Protects the contents from e.g. rain or dust by the fold-over flap.
