<p>Methyl-1-naphthyl dithiocarbamic acid-2-benzoxazolyl esters - from dithiocarbamic acid salt and a 2-halo-benzoxazole. Title cpd. of formula (I): is prepd. by reacting the alkali(ne earth) or NH4 salt of the corresponding dithiocarbamic acid, pref. Na salt, with a 2-halo-benzoxazole in an aromatic or polar organic solvent e.g. DMF or benzene. A higher yield and purer, less coloured product is obtd. than in 1,770,402, using cheaper starting materials.</p> |
