PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nickel electrode for alkaline storage battery with improved coefficient of active material use and that does not drop an operating voltage. SOLUTION: A coprecipitation hydroxide forming process that forms coprecipitation hydroxide of cobalt and magnesium in a pore of sinter substrate and an active material filling process that fills an active material mainly containing nickel oxide in to the sinter substrate to which the coprecipitation hydroxide is formed. The active material filling process contains an acid nickel salt dipping process that an acid nickel salt is impregnated in the sinter substrate by dipping the sinter substrate to which the coprecipitation hydroxide is formed in the acid nickel salt and an alkaline treatment process that the acid nickel salt is substituted to the nickel oxide by dipping the sinter substrate in which the acid nickel salt is impregnated by the acid nickel salt impregnating process. The acid nickel. salt impregnating process and the alkaline treatment process are repeated by a fixed number of times to change the acid nickel salt to a nickel oxide active material. |
