The extrusion delivery arrangement on a hydraulic extrusion press has a main pressure and returnn cylinder for the ram and has a controlled hydraulic motor drive to the delivery arrangement. The hydraulic motor is matched with the extrusion delivery speed dependent on the ram speed and the degree of extrusion. The ram movement is used to produce the oil pressure to drive the hydraulic motor. The arrangement is distinguished by being able to switch the hydraulic motor directly into the return flow of the return cylinder during the power stroke or into the return flow of the main pressure cylinder during the return stroke of the ram.
