<p>The swimming-pool cover is designed to heat the water in a pool, making use of solar energy. It incorporates a black sheet of plastic foil, fitted with air cushions and channels, and floating on the surface of the water. Water from the pool continuously fills the channels, where it is heated by virtue of the heat radiation effect as it passes through, before it is led back into the pool. An adaptation of the system can also be used to convey heated water to boilers, storage tanks and other household appliances. This is more efficient than simply covering the pool to prevent heat less and to keep it clean.</p> |
