<p>The spectacle lenses to be machined are removed from a storage container and moved in cycle with the machining operation to the work station, after which they are automatically transferred to a finished part store. The transfer arrangement for the parts consists of two grips (13, 14, 15, 16). The grips are pivoted on shafts (18, 19), symmetrically at either side of the work station. The movement of the shafts is controlled by a drive mechanism (20) incorporating a switch which gives control pulses for the alternate operation of the grips. The whole drive can pivot about an axis (21) which runs parallel to the axes on which the grips are mounted.</p> |
