<p>An axial ring rolling mill is equipped with two rolls, acting against the faces of the ring to be rolled which can be adjusted relative to each other, and with several guide rollers which position the ring. Two external guide rollers are arranged on both sides of the centre line. One internal guide roller is located inside the ring, just beyond the axial rolls, and can be adjusted relative to the downstream external guide roller for the desired inside ring diameter. Rings of different width can be rolled economically without producing imprints on the inside ring surface. No internal guide roller need be exchanged. Any distortion of the ring section is securely eliminated.</p> |
