<p>The hot air har dryer has a bar shaped housing (10) containing an electrically driven three stage fan unit (11). The fan unit has three separate fans fitted on the same hub at the rear of the electric motor (16). Between each pair of neighbouring fans are fitted air guide walls (17). These walls direct the air from one fan to the rear of the next. Behind the final fan (15) is a further guide wall (18) to direct the air down the air canal (12) to the heater and also to hold the electric motor (16). Air is drawn into the dryer through a number of slots (22) in the semi-spherical rear of the casing. This ensures that the air is drawn into the dryer slowly and cannot suck hair into the motor, while air is blown quickly through the relatively small outlet end of the dryer.</p> |
