PURPOSE: To reduce the cost of an industrial transmission network by increasing the number of subscribers to be connected to one local network. CONSTITUTION: Each node N1 of a network is connected to each of related subscriber's stations P1-1 through a single optical fiber FP1-1 by two different wavelengths. Each node is connected to each of other several nodes through a single fiber FN1-2 by a single wavelength. In the node, electric signals are supplied by two light receivers 2, 6 and transmitted to a single transmitter 4 through amplifiers 8, 10. Necessary optical connection is executed by a passive direct coupler 22 and an wavelength separator 20. Passive light dividers 24, 26 form two interfaces between stations and other nodes. |
