PURPOSE:To easily transmit character information to a radio selective calling receiver and to secure the privacy of information. CONSTITUTION:A transmitter part inputs information showing correspondence between characters and codes and arbitrary information from an input part 60, stores the correspondence information in a first memory 61, converts the arbitrary information from the input part 60 to tone signals corresponding to the correspondence information at a control part 53, outputs tones by using a tone generating part 56 and transmits the correspondence information to the outside as optical signals by using a light emitting part 57, and a receiver part receives the optical signals of the correspondence information transmitted from the light emitting part 57, demodulates those signals, stores them in a second memory 8, converts the signals transmitted from a transmission base station 23 through an antenna to the character information corresponding to the correspondence information stored in the second memory 8 and displays the character information on a display part 4. |
