<p>The flexible connection, for loading passengers into an aircraft. It has a fixed and a movable floor, side flanges and a weatherproof cover. The movable floor slides and pivots relative to the fixed one and is joined to a drive mechanism. The flanges and cover are solid with the moving floor. The moving floor has controls for longitudinal and side movement and the fixed floor has stops which press on the sides of the moving floor to guide it. The fixed floor has a curved part to guide the other. The cover is tubular and can withstand internal pressurisation.</p> |
