Cellular lightweight floor construction - uses two inverted rows of hollow triangular section beams with secondary row beams in troughs between primary rows

The suspended structural floor is of a sectional lightweight cellular construction comprising of beams (2, 3) of a hollow triangular cross section. Each beam may have an identical equilateral triangular section, being fabricated from three bevel edged timber planks (1) with glued tutt joints (5) at the corners. Floor installation is initiated by placing of a primary range of beams (2) each with a lower face horizontal in the plane of the floor soffite, and in parallel alignment with longitudinal edges a butting. The second range of beams (3) is thenplaced, each being inverted and located in a trough formed by two prim. beams.
