PURPOSE:To turn the tool socket in a prescribed posture by a method wherein an engaging roller is arranged on the lateral side of the tool socket and thereby the stroke of an engaging body which is engaged with the engaging roller is made small. CONSTITUTION:When a prescribed machining by a tool 20 fitted to the main shaft is completed, the piston 38 of a cylinder 37 is elevated and makes the engaging body 40 united therewith be elevated. With this elevation, the tool socket 15 is turned on a pin 18 as a supporting point through the intermediary of the engaging roller 43 which is supported rotatably outside the lateral surface of the tool socket and is engaged with the engaging body 40, and is changed in its posture from the horizontal state to the vertical. Next, the replacement of the tool 20 is conducted between the main shaft and the tool socket 15 by the turning of a replacing arm. |
