A hinge joint for doors, flaps or the like has a fixed hinge part and a pivotable hinge part which are connected to one another in an articulated manner by means of two links. There is provided as a closing and keeping-shut device a double-layer, essentially U-shaped leaf spring which is bent out of a strip and of which the bow connecting the legs frames a joint pin of one link and of which the legs are supported, on the one hand, on the hinge part containing this joint pin and, on the other hand, on the other link or on a projection connected to the latter. In order to improve the effect of the spring, in that, under bending, its layers can slide on one another free of constraints, the leaf spring, in the region of the end of its legs at which the layers lie one on the other so as to terminate freely, is fastened to the hinge part only with its outer layer or, in the region of the other end at which the layers are connected to one another by means of a bending point folding these back on themselves, is fastened to the hinge part. <IMAGE>
