The present invention relates to a device for remote actuation of an equipment item by varying the flow of a fluid in a conduit. The device includes means for controlling the adjustment means, which can vary the aperture of the passage channel for the said fluid by a hydrodynamic action. The present invention also relates to a method for activating at least one equipment item. Application of the device and of the method to actuation of equipment designed to be incorporated in drilling fitments.
