<p>A pharmaceutical prepn. contg. 5000-35,000 IU of hyaluronidase (I) per dosage unit is claimed. The prepn. can be used for treatment of arteriosclerosis, shock, "hyperalimentation", malignant cell division, juvenile pulmonary distress, heart disease, ulcers, etc. Specifically claimed are ampoules contg. 5000-35,000 IU of (I) in a physiological saline soln. or in freeze-dried form. A patient with suspected embolism of the arteria iliaca communis was subjected to embolectomy without any improvement in circulation. Arterial injection of 100 cc. of an isotonic saline soln. contg. 15,000 IU of (I) produced satisfactory circulation within 30 min.</p> |
