PURPOSE:To make the operation easy by detecting whether an original original carrying means can carry an original or not and displaying the state where it can carry. CONSTITUTION:When a copy switch 62 is turned on, a copyingg machine control part 61 checks whether an original set signal (ORG-RDY) is outputted or not; and if it is not outputted, the control part 61 starts the copying operation immediately. But if the signal ORG-RDY is outputted, it is checked whether an original feeding device set signal (ADF-SET) is outputted or not; and if it is not outputted, following operations are not performed, and a symbol 85 is flickered to call the attention. If the signal ADF-SET is outputted, an original preparation signal (ORG-SET) is outputted, and an original feeding device (ADF) control part 66 lights a ready lamp 70 on condition that signals ORG-RDY and ADF-SET are outputted together and informs the user that an original O is set correctly and a carrying part 32 is closed correctly. Thus, the operation is made easy, and the generation of an erroneous operation is made difficult. |
