PURPOSE:To provide an economical and simple image-forming method which enables a continuous operation to be performed semipermanently, by constituting a dye- supplying source of a dye-supplying unit comprising a blower as a supplying means, and disposing an air pressure adjusting filter in the blower supplying system. CONSTITUTION:A dye 1 supplied is fed through a blower supplying system 10 together with air, and is supplied to a narrow gap part 12 of a unit 11. In order to overcome the problem that the pressure in the supplying system 10 is increased by surplus air fed from the blower 9 to cause scattering of the dye in a hopper 2, the pressure in the system is returned to an appropriate pressure by an air pressure adjusting filter 4. When a heat-resistant film 5 is heated by bringing a heating element 6 into contact therewith according to an image signal, the sublimable or evaporable dye 1 in the narrow gap part 12 is heated, and is gassified through sublimation or melting, and the resultant vapor of the dye is adhered onto the surface of a receiving paper 8 by passing through a dye-permeable film 7, thereby forming a dye image corresponding to the image signal. As the amount of the dye 1 in the narrow gap part 12 is decreased due to the formation of the dye image, the dye 1 is continuously supplied into the narrow gap part 12 by the blower 9. |
