To manufacture such a building element, use is made of a mould (15) formed from a base (10) and from walls (12, 14) positioned on the said base. Placed into the said mould are at least one longitudinal void former (18) and transversal void formers (20) at the positions corresponding to the longitudinal and transversal channels. Light concrete is poured into the said mould around the said void formers, the said longitudinal void former (18) is extracted by sliding whilst maintaining the transversal void formers in position and then the said transversal void formers (20) are extracted by sliding. <IMAGE>
