PURPOSE:To automatically adjust generated damping force by using a damping valve having a two-degree freedom configuration, which is set so as to resonate in a specific range of a system to be controlled, and by increasing the opening degree of the valve in association with the resonance of the valve. CONSTITUTION:A twin tube type hydraulic damper is composed of a body 1 and a damping valve section 2. When the vibration frequency of a system to be controlled is in an intermediate range between a primary resonant point and a secondary resonant point, ports 17, 18 are opened to a large degree so as to decrease generated damping force. When the vibration frequency of the system to be controlled comes into a high range, a large damping force is produced since the ports 17, 18 are closed. Thus, it is possible to automatically adjust and change generated damping force in response to the vibration frequency. |
