摘要 PURPOSE:To confirm the direction and distance of a starting point by directly connecting an azimuth detection sensor to a calculation mechanism and connecting a pedometer and an inclination correction sensor thereto through or not through a converter and performing operation by the calculation mechanism. CONSTITUTION:An azimuth detection sensor 1 is constituted by combining two earth magnetism sensors to detect the direction on a horizontal surface and informs the same to a calculation mechanism 2 having a microcomputer built therein. A pedometer 3 counts the number of steps and a converter (to which one step of an indivisual is inputted) 4 coverts the counted value to a distance to inform said distance to the calculation mechanism 2. An inclination correcting sensor 5 detects a plane step due to the inclination of a road to inform the same to the converter 4 and corrects the distance due to the information of the counter 3 to inform said distance to the calculation mechanism 2. The calculation mechanism 2 calculates an azimuth and a direct distance on the basis of these input data to display the azimuth and direct distance at each time on a display means 6. A switch is separately provided so as to display both values at a desired time. The converter 4 may be omitted to calculate the data to be obtained by the respective sensors by the calculation mechanism 2.
