Plant cell culture for use in fermentation at separate plants - is produced in a central laboratory and taken into a pressure resistant container via a sterile conduit system

Plant cell culture produced in optimum conditions in a central laboratory and intended as starting material for propaportion in fermenters or fermenter cascades at separate industrial plants is taken by a sterile conduit system with a pressure resistant transport container with at least two other sterilisable conduit systems. After conveyance the culture is transferred by operation of valves. The conduit systems include filters with pref. 0.2 micron porosity in the feed line for pressurised gas. Conduit sections may be heated by electrical resistance. ADVANTAGE - Reduces risk of prejudicing industrial cultivation by accidentally acquired (and invisible) infection of starting inoculum.
