The load supporting system is for a vehicle. It has longitudinal carriers (1,2) between which extends a cross member (3) with a U-shaped profile opening downwards. An elastically yielding load support (11) is fitted in the central region (10) of the cross member and has two elastic blocks (12,13) with a plate (14) arranged in between. USE/ADVANTAGE - Pendulum suspension for a vehicle engine which relieves the fastening points (4,5) between the longitudinal and cross members from torsional, tensile and compressive forces.
