PURPOSE:To facilitate the metal mold setting work and improve the workability by accommodating an air bag device in the lower part of a pad part and insertion-molding a membrane switch in the pad part and forming a metal mold fixing engagement part at least at one part of the outer peripheral edge surface of the membrane switch. CONSTITUTION:In a pad part 2 which is installed at the center of a steering wheel 1, an air bag 5 is accommodated in folded state into an inside space 20. At the inner layer part 27 of the upper surface 22 of the pad part 2, a mesh 28b whose one edge is fixed on an installation member 39 and membrane switches 29a and 29b are arranged through the insertion molding on both the sides of a center thin part. Resin frames 36a and 36b (engaging parts) as the insulative engagement part for fixing a metal mold are formed on the whole periphery of the outer peripheral edge surfaces of the membrane switches 29a and 29b, and the membrane switches 29a and 29b are fixed on a pad part molding metal mold 70 by utilizing the metal mold fixing holes 361a and 361b of the resin frames 36a and 36b, and in this state, the pad part 2 is injection-molded by using the foamed polyurethane foams, etc. |
