PURPOSE:To extend the effectual time of a battery to continue a work for a sufficiently long time at the time of a break of AC power. CONSTITUTION:Plural DC power output modules 21 to 25 are provided correspondingly to constituting units of a computer system and can be individually turned on/off. When a break of AC power is detected, DC power output modules 21 to 25 are successively switched from the turning-on state to the turning-off state in a prescribed order. Units corresponding to turned-off DC power output modules which are in the stop state, do not consume the power. Therefore, the power consumption of the whole of the computer system is gradually reduced according as the number of Dc power output modules which are in turning-off state is increased. |
