PURPOSE:To improve the discharge capacity and life performance by setting the difference between the filling density of an active material of each portion of an electrode plate divided into three in the height direction and the average filling density of the whole electrode plate to a prescribed value or below. CONSTITUTION:This clad type electrode plate for a lead-acid battery is 300mm or above in height. This electrode plate is divided into an upper section, a center section, and a lower section in the height direction. When the difference between the filling density of an active material of each portion and the average filling density of the whole electrode plate is set to 9% or below, the reduction of the 5-hour discharge capacity is decreased, and the clad type electrode plate for the lead-acid battery having improved discharge capacity and life performance is obtained. To set the density difference to 9% or below, the frequency of the vibration applied when the active material is filled is increased to 120Hz. |
