PURPOSE:To provide a document preparing device which can reduce the size of the document data that are accompanied with the illustration data. CONSTITUTION:When the illustration data are produced, an input device 1 designates the illustrations that are inserted in a print mode. The information on these illustrations are stored in an illustration type information part, and the inserted illustration data stored in an external storage 12 are designated based on the information on the illustration when the document data are printed. These designated illustration data are read and expanded into a temporary expansion storage part 3. Then the expanded illustration data are copied and expanded into an illustration placing position of the sentence data expanded into an output data storage part 6 from the part 3 based on the illustration placing position information. The copied and expanded illustration data are printed by a printing device 8. |
