<p>A plastic screw-threaded cable fitting having a screw connection with a sealing body and having a cap nut. On the screw connection there are arranged tongues, separated from one another, which are pressed onto the circumferential surface of the cable, together with the sealing body, when the cap nut is screwed on. The tongues (11,12) in each case have a constant width and are grouped alternately into tongues located radially on the inside (12) and radially on the outside (11), so that, when the cap nut (20) is screwed on, tongues which are radially outside (11) touch the adjacent tongues which are radially inside (12). The tongues which are located radially on the inside (12) are constructed on their outer surface in each case with a stop (16) for limiting the movement of the radially outer tongues (12).
