PURPOSE:To simplify a structure of the initial information reading part of a compatible VTR by making match the mouths of large and small tape cassettes and also making match the positions of means to be detected which provide the informations in the cassettes. CONSTITUTION:In the large and small recording medium cassettes 20, the mouths 25 whereto a recording medium taking out member, etc., are inserted at the time of loading to the VTR, are made to match. Further, the positions of the means 35 to be detected for contact points of a substrate fronted onto hole parts, which provide the plural informations to the cassettes, are also made to match. By this constitution, the initial information reading part, etc., of the compatible VTR used for the large and small tape cassettes in common are formed to the simple structure. |
