The apparatus and method allows the communication between public entrances of apartment buildings and each house and a control center via several communication lines. The method comprises the steps of: (a) detecting the any key input status from a public entrance or a home automation system, detecting the data input from them; (b) enabling the communication by the relay connection when there exists a data input; and (c) transmitting the communication request data and a channel id to the control box within a home automation system and a public entrance when any communication line is free. The apparatus includes a main control system, a plurality of communication lines, a plurality of home automation systems, a plurality of control systems on the public entrances, and a plurality of relays.
