<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an apparatus by which the existence of a semiconductor memory can be discriminated surely without performing a write operation and a read operation to the semiconductor memory by a method wherein a terminal is installed at the specific part of a recording medium cassette and information is obtained from the terminal in a loading operation. SOLUTION: Connecting terminals 2a, 2b, 2c are pulled up respectively to a power supply Vcc by resistances R1, R2, R3, and a connecting terminal 2d is connected to a ground potential. The connecting terminals 2a, 2b, 2c are connected to input terminals AD1, AD2, AD3 to an A/D converter which is built in a microcomputer 4, and voltages at the respective terminals can be detected. In addition, the connecting terminal 2b is connected to the SDA terminal as the data terminal for communication of the microcomputer 4, and the connecting terminal 2c is connected to the SCK terminal as the clock terminal for communication of the microcomputer 4. The connecting terminal 2a can supply a power supply via a make-and-break switch 3, and it can access a communication with a semiconductor memory.</p> |
