An electrodeposition coating composition which is excellent in bath stability and can give a hardened film enhanced in hardness; and a process for electrodeposition coating. This composition is used in a process for electrodeposition coating which comprises the deposition step of immersing a substrate in an electrodeposition coating composition and applying a voltage between the substrate as an anode or cathode and a counter electrode to form a deposit of the composition on the surface of the substrate and the heating step of heating the deposit, and has an electrodeposition potentiality against the hardening reaction of the deposit.
